I'd love an impressive restaurant that is walking distance from the hotel. One of the VPs is a full on "foodie".
One option is taking the Ferry over to Dartmouth. There's some interesting places within walking distance over there and getting a chance to stretch your legs before and after a meal while also soaking in the views on the ferry is really nice. I don't know what is impressive in that area, but just an idea to consider to expand the horizon by adding a little bit of pre and post meal ambiance to the whole experience. Walking around the waterfront in Halifax and Dartmouth was very enjoyable.

I don't know if lobster rolls are in season, but option of grabbing one as a snack and washing it down with a beer on the way over would be kinda fun IMO. Adding a fun moment with local thoroughfare before an impressive meal could help you stick out more than just taking them to another impressive restaurant (I assume they've gone to a ton already). Make sure to have a small pack of wet wipes in your bag if you grab stuff like a lobster roll just in case.

My wife and I went to the Dartmouth side and at ate Sushi at the Dahlia. We ate a ton of Butterfish/Escolar and thought it was great... then we found stuff like this where it can have a horrible reaction similar to that of food poisoning + oily orange or yellow diarrhea:

Thankfully we didn't get the bad reaction, but if there's Butterfish/Escolar on the menu anywhere (ie: fish option for fish and chips, sushi/sashimi etc.), be sure to be aware of the risks in consuming it as you can find it in inexpensive and higher end restaurants. That way you don't have a ####ty end to the experience if someone is sensitive to the oils in it.

Broth house was also a really enjoyable place for warm fare IMO. It was really good but I don't know if I'd call it impressive. Not a bad place to try and get take out for a side meal though.
