I am taking clients out on Wednesday night. They are all Senior VPs at one of the large Canadian banks.

I'd love an impressive restaurant that is walking distance from the hotel. One of the VPs is a full on "foodie".
When I've travelled to an unfamiliar city to entertain clients, I usually either ask the concierge at the hotel, or - even better IMO - if I know someone's a "foodie", I ask them... It's always worked out great as the client feels like they're showing you something and you don't run the risk of awkwardly taking them to some place they dislike.
