Islanders move three players
UNIONDALE, N.Y. - Reports are indicating that the New York Islanders have acquired Jason Arnott, Mike Grier and Marc Savard from the San Jose Sharks.
Only hours after the Islanders were shellacked 5-1 by the Sabres, GM Wu pulled off another big deal shipping centre Mike Comrie, Valerie Bure, Ivan Novoseltsev and a 2006 4th Round pick to the San Jose Sharks for superstar Jason Arnott, Marc Savard, and Mike Grier. Also believed to be included in the deal is a reported $2.36M headed to the Islanders.
Nobody from either side could be reached for official comments Thursday night.
