[White Out 403]

This is getting a little much. The Coyotes are the "original" Jets, but the team has to give out white shirts for people to do the whiteout. It's fake. In the 80s the Jets marketing saw the Flames C of red (which happened for maybe 1 or 2 playoffs before 2004) and suggested fans counter the Flames fans wearing red with a white out, u know, snow stuff. The fans embraced it and it's become a cultural thing of being a Winnipegger and Jets fan. No one has ever had to give out a white shirt at a Jets game. When the Coyotes do it, its forced, silly, and copying the city of Winnipeg. When Tampa did it in response to Calgarys C of red, it was forced, silly, and a poor comparable. The C of Red disappeared in the 90s, as an aside. I don't remember any of that happening in the 94 playoffs or the 90s at all.
