The first half hour or so had me grinning ear to ear, but the more it went on the more I felt things were falling flat. Everyone who sees it will have their own opinion and interpretation of the film's central tenets and the moral of the story, but for me it just... didn't land well. Or at least not as well as it should have, or could have. I think in that first hour or so I had already built it up to be something far cleverer than it ended up being, and my dashed expectations left me feeling conflicted.

Yeah it definitely gets a little heavy-handed at times and is 20 mins too long, but for someone who basically got dragged to it, I'm shocked how much I liked it. All I know is Ryan Gosling's character is an absolute legend in it.
My girl is talking about going as one of the Barbies for Halloween, I'm hoping she does so I can do the alpha Ken in the mink coat and lightning bolt headband look. I laughed so hard at that outfit..
Now I just need to see Oppenheimer, which is the one I wanted to see in the first place
