I was sitting at work with the radio on when a news story mentioned the murder of my friend at a wedding. Nobody told me up until that point, which was fair because everyone who was there was still dealing with the trauma and shock. I was supposed to be at the wedding but had to cancel at the last minute. To this day, I'm sure that if I was at the wedding he would have been hanging out with me instead of his killer and would be alive.
