I think Comox is already bursting at the seams; there isn't room for what they have there now. Cold Lake will be busy building infrastructure for F35s. Besides, no one wants to be posted there.

For the operational "base" in the West, I'd speculate on Edmonton or Winnipeg. Calgary even.
