While I agree with you on this (just produce the evidence publicly), it's probably not as easy for these folks to just 'provide' said material. It likely isn't like renting a book from the library and walking out the door with it. I assume there's many layers of permissions from the Pentagon and other jurisdictions to bring forth this material publicly, at least right as it is now anyways. If the SCIF meetings go forth, they could be brought forward in those.
