xGF: 56.0%
GF: 60.8%
5V5 Goals: 46
5V5 Points: 107
Total Goals: 83
Total Points: 193

Aho:
DOB: July 26 1997
Corsi For: 56.3%
xGF: 56.5%
GF: 56.7%
5v5 Goals: 48
5v5 Points: 102

So in terms of on ice results and production you can't get a lot closer of a comparable than these two over the last three seasons. Of course Aho is 2.5 years younger which makes a big difference when signing an 8 year deal.

But I think this signing makes it a lot less likely that Lindholm would want to take anything less than $9.5M.
A few key factors
- 2.5 year age difference
- 0.98 pts/g vs 0.89 pts/g (this only gets larger if you add the 4th year)
- Sebastian Aho has been the top point producer in Carolina for 6 straight seasons, while Elias Lindholm has never led a team in scoring
- Aho has a much better playoff track record

I just don't see how it's conceivable for Lindholm to ask for a contract that begins with a 9 on an 8 year deal, and I am one of his biggest fans. Aho is clearly the superior player.
