Now in terms of dynamic skill and playdriving ability I'm not sure this is a perfect comparison but over the last 3 seasons:
Lindholm:
DOB: Dec 2nd 1994
Corsi For: 55.3%
xGF: 56.0%
GF: 60.8%
5V5 Goals: 46
5V5 Points: 107
Total Goals: 83
Total Points: 193
Aho:
DOB: July 26 1997
Corsi For: 56.3%
xGF: 56.5%
GF: 56.7%
5v5 Goals: 48
5v5 Points: 102
Total Goals: 97
Total Points: 205
So in terms of on ice results and production you can't get a lot closer of a comparable than these two over the last three seasons. Of course Aho is 2.5 years younger which makes a big difference when signing an 8 year deal.
But I think this signing makes it a lot less likely that Lindholm would want to take anything less than $9.5M.
