There's no way a linesman could catch this in real time, the head is less than an inch ahead and it occurred 30 yards from goal. Yes, the head is a scoring part of the body but not from 30 yards away while chasing a ball.
Maybe the rule should be modified according to which body part is playing the ball? Or a central point like the sternum? |
