That was planned. He knew he was spending atleast two years in the AHL.
If they do this he will play the games he's scheduled to. The only difference is atleast most of the games he would have been sitting on the bench he will be playing for the Wranglers. I don't see the big issue with it as it keeps him active. And I doubt it will last the whole season.
