It was a fun game, too bad the Stamps lost but I was excited to see Crum wasn’t a one hit wonder. The league needs QBs badly and if in a Stamps loss, Ottawa solidified their QB situation, I’m happy for them. Let’s get to it.
Maier - good throws and some bad throws. I think the 450 yard game will hide some terrible decisions. I still don’t think he’s the answer but he did make some nice throws. QBs will make mistakes when you throw as much as he did but that was too many mistakes for one game.
Mills - again shutdown. Lack of calling his number, OL not opening up holes, and hesitation from Mills meant no running game at all. Had to be better.
Receivers - probably their best game of the year; Barnes looked great. Michel is back. Reggie did Reggie things. Odoms-Dukes played well too.
OL - same as last week, help up against the pass rush but couldn’t open up lanes. Not sure where the issue lies as all three interior guys are vets and that’s where they are struggling.
DL - outside of missing some tackles on Crum, they played ok imo, not great as last week. Crum got his runs on broken plays. 5 sacks were good but they didn’t get many critical stops.
LB - Judge played the spy quite well. Wall struggled with tackling and awareness. Awe made some plays but I think he’s going back to his cheap shot days. The refs called it for the Stamps but I think he clearly led with his helmet on that 4th Q hit on Crum. He’s got to cut it out.
DB - Jameson struggled. Didn’t hear much from Roberson or Williams which is good. They didn’t get the stops when they needed them. Need to be better.
Tommy Lewis - he’s good and he’s going to start breaking some soon.
Parades - missed the PAT but hit the game tying FG. At the end of the day, can you count on him?
Coverage - much better this week.
Stamps lost but the game was exciting.
