If Lindholm and Backlund are getting shipped out, then we indeed need to make aquiring good centers a priority. One could argue that Sharangovich and Dube can play C, but they're better suited to the wing IMO. If a rookie C, like Zary or Jones, makes the team, they likely won't be ready for top-6 duty.
That said, Nylander is an 80-90 point winger who shows up in the playoffs. If there's a chance to get him, we should be looking in to it.
