It's about 2 hours to see most of it. Highly recommend hitting at opening if you can, and heading straight to the Crown Jewels. I think you can pre-purchase tickets to skip one of the lines, too.
I also seem to remember the British Museum being free entry. Probably because they'd feel guilty charging to see stolen stuff
