I wish it could have been done at the draft with 13th OA, but you can't fault them for keeping their pick after a faller like Benson fell right into their laps.

Sabres already have two pretty good centers in Cozens and Thompson. Maybe Lindholm could compete with Cozens for the second line center position but he would be nowhere close to taking out Thompson for the first line center position.
Hanifin makes sense for them though.
