Also, the Percentage of Cap thread is one person's idea for how they'd do it. And the more you try to criticize it, the more you realize how difficult it is to put $1 dollar somewhere and have to take it away from somewhere else.
It kind of underscores how important it is to have underpaid players and ELC players. Which, with respect to underpaid players, the Flames did have with Lindholm and Hanifin for a while, but sadly couldn't take advantage of it.
