Markstrom back to even 80% of his Vezina candidate season and the Flames will be in ok shape.

If he was in 80% form last year and not 60%, the Flames are in the playoffs (and then who knows) via less reg season games go to overtime (losses), less regulation losses, and increased skater confidence. Vladar took his cues from Markstrom and had every opportunity to step up, and did just as poorly.

If it's Wolf, because Markstrom is terrible again, it's a lot of pressure on a rookie, and that can go any number of ways.

Mangipane back to scoring 30+ goals isn't going to move the needle. Even Huberdeau getting back to form; again, with a terrible season from him last year, the Flames still nearly made the playoffs with bottom tier goaltending. If the number 1 goalie isn't on at least average career form most nights, you can forget about playoffs most of the time.
