Most players aren't going to come here unless we're the highest bidder. That's okay though. We should probably adjust our organizational strategy accordingly and not be trying to fill positions from UFA signings.

That goes for the majority of the league though. That’s why, as you say, UFA is a terrible way to build a team. UFA signings are only market value or less for a handful of cities, and occasionally that opportunity will rotate through cup contenders for players who need a cup.
