Still when it starts next season it's at the start of his age 37 season. So by the time Lindholm starts his age 37 season it would be the final year of an 8 year contract extension. So from whatever the cap his next year if the league averages 3.5% growth 7 million in next years cap space would be equal to 8.96 by that time. So Lindholm in the last year of that deal would have a similar salary to Kopitar. But the first 7 would be at a much lesser cap percentage.
