Everything Lucic said makes sense. Calgary isn't horrible but I can see players not being thrilled about the travel, the dome, the weather, the city. If you're in Canada Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, are much better cities overall generally speaking. New York, California, Miami, I can understand the appeal of those. I think all the East teams have appeal of far less travel and proximity to a lot of cool places. Just more reason to build a true contender and a state of the art building and culture. That can be your competitive advantage.
