My favourite actual honest to goodness coincidence happened a couple of years ago. I had bought a Philip Glass box set and had been gradually going through it at the time. On my lunch break I literally watched a top 10 coincidences video on YouTube. My very first phone call back after my break was a call dealing with Philip Glass' account with our company (had no idea he was a client but it turns out he owns property in Canada) The whole sequence of events blew my mind. A CD of his was literally sitting in my player.

More likely they are using location to advertise, and knew you were in the store.
