I think your top Salary is crazy low. They are going to get 10-15% of your cap. When Iggy signed his contract with a 35 million cap it was 20% that first year.
You need to build a team scores 250-300 goals and without that premium talent it’s going to be tough. I like the concept of paying 2 players per line more money and the 3rd you cycle through lesser players hoping for chemistry.
So it’s more like 12.5% 9% 5% for the top line and you hope the entry level guys and other low cost 2nd contract guys come through. Same with the rest spend more on the Center less on the 3rd winger.
On D paying more for a true top pairing guy at the expense of the rest of the line up.
The other thing is just because you have these slots doesn’t mean you just fit the players you have or are available into these slots. Teams get themselves into trouble by slitting guys into salary slots above their ability.
