Listening to Duhatschek talking with Kerr yesterday and he made a good point that Lindholm might want to stay but is unsure about the team with Hanifin wanting to leave, Toffoli gone, a new GM, and a new coaching staff.
Lots of changes if you want to compete for a cup, how do you accurately decide?
Duhatschek thought was that he will start the season in Calgary and that by December he will have enough information to make a decision. And that if the Flames want to keep him they will give him that time to decide how comfortable he is.
Based on that thought I don't think we see any movement on Lindholm either on a new contract or in a trade until January.
