Hah not at all. It's July, nothing to do.

Hunt-Zary-Schwindt
Pettersen-Jones-Klapka
Pospisil-Bishop-Kerins
Ciona-Rooney-Gallant
Duarte

Solovyov-DeSimone
Poirier-Poolman
Kuznetsov-Lyle
Gourley

As for the goalies, who knows. All depends on if they trade Vladar or not. I highly doubt they bring Chechelev back after signing Radomsky and Murphy. My guess is they carry all three of Dansk, Radomsky, and Murphy to start and then maybe send one of the latter two to Rapid City around Christmas.

Also, I dunno if they plan to keep Gilbert in the NHL as the 7 (I was assuming that'd be Oesterle's job, but maybe they move Hanifin and Oesterle becomes the 6). If Gilbert goes back to the A, I could see him playing on a pairing with Kuznetsov and Gourley being shifted down to Rapid City. I wonder if they might try to swap Rooney for a defenceman of similar pedigree during the season.

I think Stromgren and Nikolaev start in Rapid City. Injuries are gonna happen. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I'm a little more bearish on Duehr than most — I'm not sure there's a whole lot there beyond the SH% spike he rode during his call-up — and I wouldn't be surprised if one of him, Pelletier, and Coronato played AHL games this year. Of those three, I feel most confident about Pelletier spending the whole season in the NHL, but who knows. I also think Ruzicka could be traded if he doesn't find a full-time role quickly — he's not going back to the A.

I could see that top six shifting around a bit, for sure. Jones played higher in the lineup than Zary for a lot of last year and Schwindt was all over the place — centre, right wing, sometimes in the bottom six. Pospisil is a wild card with his injury history, but he's also very versatile in that he can play centre and wing. I would love to see him, Ciona, and Bishop on a line together. I could also see Kerins bumping Klapka off of that second line pretty quickly.

What makes all this more difficult to project is the coaching change. Mitch had a number of combinations he favoured and it was pretty easy to predict how he'd roll things on a nightly basis. I don't know who the new coach will be, nor have I any idea whether Nachbaur or Cirella will be retained (I'm assuming so, but I don't know for sure). So, we'll see how the new guy handles things.

Super excited to be at the scrimmage after missing the first two days of camp. Love this time of year ...
