If the cap goes up it goes up for everyone. So teams who have actually managed their cap well are likely going to have rounded out rosters that are much better. Do the Flames have a single value contract on their roster? Basically everyone is either a fair deal or overpaid. Rasmus is the only guy. Hanifin and Lindholm are UFA so if either are kept they likely become overpaid or fair. Seems like a tough way to keep up with the league.
