There will absolutely be discussions around Hanifin well before the TDL.
Eichel was traded in the fall. Hanifin probably will be too.
Whichever team underperforms to start (that has lofty ecpectations) will be blowing up Conroy's phone.
Things are not "set" just because some teams signed a few periphery players (to mostly reasonable contracts).
There's more than a handful of teams that want the improvement Hanifin can give their blue line.
