The new Indy was pretty bad. If I had been watching it on TV I probably would have quit about one hour in. I considered walking out halfway though, but I had still some time I needed to kill so whatever, it helped pass the time. I didn't care about anything and was getting mildly bored at multiple points.

It's not terrible, but it's not very entertaining either. You will likely be more entertained by re-watching Raiders or Last Crusade. This just recycled everything with worse action scenes. It's pretty sloppy storytelling too, plenty of plot details that just directly contradict each other for no reason, the kind of stuff you end up with when there's been too many rewrites and reshoots during the making of the film.

Also, yeah, it would have helped if there had been even one funny thing in the movie.

People have been saying "at least it's better than Crystal Skull", but I'm not even sure of that. At least that was a mildly interesting mess. This was just the epitome of a movie that has no reason for existing other than money.
