Also IJ was never a comedy. It was adventure with a sprinkling of dry humor here and there. I don't know why any one would go with the expectation to laugh throughout.
I haven’t seen it. I enjoyed Sliver’s review quite a bit though. But he didn’t say it should be a comedy. He said there wasn’t a single laugh the whole movie. Raiders and Last Crusade each had a few good laughs. Indy has always been pretty lighthearted. Zero laughs seems a bit odd. Then again it’s possible there were plenty of jokes but maybe Sliver and his ilk (fake lake people) are humourless so the jokes didn’t land.
