Remember that Twitter is an order of magnitude smaller than any of the Meta apps. To me, Meta Threads is more like an add-on to Facebook or Instagram than a standalone social media platform. Plus, Meta being able to leverage their excellent ads delivery platform in Threads instantly makes it profitable if they get a decent amount of users. Ads delivery and serving data at scale are the only hard parts about building a Twitter clone and Meta has both in the bag. I wouldn't bet against Meta on this one.

Yeah.. Facebook's growth is basically 0 in North America and Europe.
They earn $48.85 per user in US & Canada, $15.51 per user in Europe and then less than $5 per user in Asia/Pacific and ROW. So all their growth is in regions where they collect minimal revenue.
