- The formula 1 track is open to the public and all the road bikers show up to give it a go. Very smooth tarmac and really fun to rip around and pretend you're Max Verstappen or Lewis Hamilton

- There's a bike path in the middle of the river -- they've built a berm on the St Lawrence with a pathway (also camping). Fun to bike to the next town over (St Catherine's) with no cars, birds chirping, and a river on both sides.
- The ice bridge over the St Lawrence -- super buggy but woooow that is a long river crossing.
- The waterfront pathway and the Lachine Canal have long stretches similar to our own river pathway (better separation between pedestrians and cyclists though). Great for people-watching and casual cruising.

- Bixi bikes and urban commuting -- the bikes are clunkers but reliable and the stations are everywhere. Overall MTL has some of the best cycling infrastructure I've ever ridden (in North America).
Looking at a map, it seems like they have lots of long distance regional bike routes as well -- would love to go back and give some of those a go sometime.

The UCI Road World Championships is going to be in Montreal in 2026. It's a ways off but I'm planning to go watch and bring my bike along for some riding before and after.
