It's not easy to win in the playoffs and with a different cast and better coaching they might break through.

How far did those teams go in the play-offs? What happened in the seasons in between?
If we had two seasons in a row with those results, maybe you could try to stretch it out to us being close to a break through, But we have seasons of missing the play-offs and going out weakly in the play-offs surrounding those seasons to think it is a really good team just with some bad play-off luck.
Hoping that Huska is providing better coaching than what we had in the past is pretty unrealistic, hoping that his coaching will be enough to take this team from first and 2nd round losses to Stanley Cup Champions seems borderline impossible.
