...depends on how you view Nylander. If the Flames view 27 year old Michael Nylander as an elite 1st line RW, then they're trading a 3rd line centre (who isn't committing to an extension), a 1st pair defenceman (who isn't signing an extension), and Adam Ruzicka for William Nylander, and two depth defencemen that Toronto is aiming to dump. Maybe Toronto then goes and makes their futures for Pesce trade that the pundits seem to be speculating makes so much sense for them.
It kind of fills everyone's needs. Maybe the Flames then flip Chris Tanev to Seattle or someone for a 2nd, and then the cap falls into place for the them too.
