Trying to figure out how Toronto and Calgary meet up on a Nylander deal.

To Toronto:
Mikael Backlund
Adam Ruzicka
2024 1st round pick (PIT)
2025 3rd round pick (PIT)
Owen Pickering

To Calgary:
William Nylander (8 Years, $10M AAV)
TJ Brodie
Timothy Liligren

To Pittsburgh:
Noah Hanifin (Extension: 8 Years, $7M AAV)

Toronto then buys out Matt Murray, giving themselves roughly $9M in cap-space to continue building out their roster. Brodie and Liligren *seem* to be on the outs, with a Brodie buyout even being rumoured to some degree, so they're cap-dumps to Calgary. I think they're still connected to Matt Dumba (I imagine on one of their recent short term deals)

Calgary would then be loaded with defenders, and over the cap, so work would have to continue. Calgary's "reload" continues. Calgary then announces Lindholm at 8 years, $9M, and have defined their top players up front as Huberdeau - Lindholm - Nylander...

Pittsburgh gets Hanifin for roughly what was rumoured they were offering.
