Flames didn’t draft until the 4th round the year after Valimaki. The 2019 first round draft pick was Pelletier and he got 24 games as a 21 year old. Likely will get more this year. Ruzicka was 2017 like Valimaki and he got over half a season last year.

Unless guys are blue chippers they aren’t playing within a couple years of the draft. Only 15 players in Pelletier’s draft who were drafted behind him have played more games, and a lot are not significant differences.
