I don't think he's paid too much. I think he's perfectly in line with what Backlund is being paid. Compher is a guy that can play up and down the lineup and contribute in every role. He would have been a solid addition and allowed us to dump Backlund for nothing but futures. Would have been Compher + return on Backlund for less money and provided stability at a lacking position in the Flames lineup.
