Anyways, it just comes down to differing opinions of Phillips.

Imo, from my days of playing chel when I'd blow up the Flames roster at the beginning of every GM mode and have all the cap space in the world and there was a 78 overall 25 year old playmaking offensive winger that had 4 star medium potential and he was seeking just a max 2-way deal, I'd just up it to a 1-way and $2M lol zero risk.

Really, you're only placing a $1M bet on the guy. Doesn't work out, waivers and only costs you a $1M in cap the rest of the season. Plus does nothing from an asset management POV (1-year bet on rebuilding team with max cap space). If it does work out, what an awesome bet/great asset management.
