Talk is so cheap. Fans of a rebuild should put their money where their mouths and keyboards are. Save the excuses.
Buy/retain season tickets, tell your rep that you support a full rebuild. Attend the games, buy the beer, food and jerseys regardless of win/loss record in January. Call your rep mid-season and reinforce your support for the rebuild. Keep the paid attendance from falling.
Don't sell your tickets for $20.
Renew every spring, and tell your rep you still support the rebuild, even after 5 or 6 years without playoffs.
Social media and internet discussion blaming the owners, but they appear to be listening to the majority of their financially committed customers. That's smart business.
Maybe it's time for a larger portion of the well educated, hockey minded fans that are leaning scorched earth to step up and express their customer demand while supporting with actual purchases. Make the business case. Go in with friends for a group buy if its too many games.
Maybe ask the team to market a 6 year package with a little discount? Take advantage of monthly payment plan.
