I would probably drive my car off a cliff if I had to spend one day of my life deal with 20-30 kids or teenagers by myself. Their work probably helps drive 15% of the economy just by getting kids out of the way so their parents can work.

This is how these threads always go.
1) A teacher or someone close to a teacher complains about their situation (ie
Teachers are at the end of their rope).
2) Other people remark that teaching is actually quite a good job by most metrics.
3) Yet other people interpret “teachers have good jobs” as “teachers suck and I hate them!” They also seem to have entirely lost the thread of the conversation by assuming it started at stage 2.
It’s the last stage that I don’t get. How is saying a job is good an attack on people who perform that job?
