They still have until July 2nd or so to make moves. Generally trades happen between the draft and the 2nd day of free agency before things get quiet.

Think the problem is as fans a lot of us wanted more 1st round picks, and unfortunately I don't think that is the organizations intent. They want younger players, not picks.

So I think we maybe see trades for guys that are 21-25 years old and are either closer to being NHLers or are already NHLers. If they move Hanifin and Lindholm it will look more like the Dubois trade than a pure futures trade.

Which is somewhat dissapointing because those likely are lower risk and lower reward type of trades, compared to trading for a 1st which has much higher risk but the shot that maybe you do get a future star. But will mean this team probably remains in the playoff hunt for at least a couple more years.
