Well after an interesting weekend I make it back alive. First work threw a new project on my Tuesday morning asking me to have it done before I leave. 30 billed hours later I still had at least 2 days work left and gave it back to them telling them I did all I could. So 10:00 Friday morning I start loading the van and get it loaded by 2:00. I'm on the road about 2:45 or so and things are going okay until half way between two boonie towns of Valemount and Blue River I arrive on the scene about a minute after some strung out truck driver manages to roll his semi and do a text book job of blocking the road. By now it's like 8:00 Alberta time and we're looking at 3-4 hours at the least until they can clear the road. Having worked till 12:30 the night before and up at 6:00 to start work that day I decide to back track 50km to Valemount to find a room for the night. Lucky for me I get the last room that will allow pets in town and get some sleep. Of course the drive home today featured the last 640km through sleet and heavy rain. Good times.
