No. The Flames did not "pivot." The plan was always to move players this offseason for younger players while keeping the team competitive. This looks like a step in that direction. And no, the Flames are not actively looking to trade Lindholm. They will most likely sign him to an extension.

I think a lot of fans like you have this same astonishing short-term perspective in which the only thing you guys seem to think should factor into every decision was last year's performance.
