Most people would look at what a player has done over the past 3-4 seasons and say that is what he is currently averaging. Do that with Toffoli and you don’t get a 45-50 point guy.
Average over the past 3 seasons prorated to 82 games - 33 goals 32 assists for 65 points
Over the past 4 seasons - 32 goals and 31 assists for 63 points.
Flames traded a guy who makes 4.5 million and can be expected to score around 30 goals and get around 60 points for the package they got. He definitely is not nor has he been for a while a 40-50 point guy.
