I was pretty neutral on its usage before that, after witnessing how upset they were, I don't think I've said it since.
Weird crusade to try and bring back a word that can upset people to that extent.

Similar to what happened to me. I have an autistic cousin and when I was 13 or 14 I said something was ######ed in front of my aunt. I don’t think I’ve used it since seeing the hurt on her face.
I don’t personally take offence at the term, and people are generally free to use whatever words they want. But I do have some judgement towards those who use it, knowing it causes hurt to others, and what value do you really get from it on your end?
