I don’t really know how to judge this trade. It looks like Yegor has slipped down the depth chart in New Jersey. Does he have more to give, I think yes, is fair to say. Calgary, is obviously looking at this as a player they can lock up for the next 2-3years, will see how he develops and go from there. The draft pick is something that really just adds more youth to the system, you hope it pans out.
I would say the initial trade looks meh ( real scientific grading system) but has the potential in two years to be a great trade and we are having discussions on how much his next contract will be and can we fit it under the cap.
