He's a good player, thrust into a bad position last year. And has been pretty great advocate for the Flames and was super supportive of our young players.
Rhett seemed to be scapegoating Huberdeau for the teams issues and locker room issues and that was 100% unfair IMO.
The problems existed before he got here, as witnessed by Gaudreau and Tkachuk walking.

I think you rebuild with Huberdeau, not "around" him.
He provides offense and uses up a ton of cap space to help you reach the floor. Meanwhile you hopefully hit on your draft picks and develop players through your system. IMO you don't build a team around him, but he can complement what you're trying to achieve.
