In the end I don't think the Iginla trade was Feaster's fault.
The issue was the trade was made 2-3 years too late.
Iginla was 35 years old, he had 22 points in 31 games, and he had a NTC that limited him to 2 teams.
You can't expect a huge return in that scenario.
Bouwmeester is a bit of an interesting one because his value was at an all time low in Calgary too. Never broke 30 points, team was in a bit of shambles. Getting a 1st back wasn't terrible business.
The issue with both those trades is they were adamant on getting 3 pieces back, and because of that the prospects they got back were kind of ####.
