That's true, but they have lots of pieces to keep around and mentor younger guys already - Huberdeau, Kadri, Weegar, Anderson, etc. From an asset management perspective, this is one of your best assets to acquire some blue chip talent. And how does a kid get a chance when you have Lindholm, Kadri, and Backlund (?) locking down your top two (three?) center spots for the foreseeable future?
I like Lindholm and he's a great player that championship teams need, but he's also not a gamebreaker. If they end up keeping him, to me it signals we're sticking with the same never say rebuild/ if you can sneak in anything can happen philosophy.
