Before the season started, Oiler fans were trumpeting that they were this massively improved team. Some of us here, including myself, argued that they were the same team, with worse goaltending. As stemit14 said, pretty much everything went right for them this year, and yet, despite that, they were the same team with worse goaltending.
And now they have huge cap problems, which will significantly erode their bottom 6, as well as not allow them to improve in any material way. But it's summer, so Oiler fans (and closet Oiler fans) will be here to tell us why they are, once again, the greatest thing since the '76 Habs.
