Thought I would add to the over-the top aggressive trade proposals I made up earlier for the flames:

Trade #1:
To Pittsburgh: Lindholm
To Calgary: 2023 first round pick (14th overall) + Michael Granlund (cap dump) + 2024/2025 first round pick (Pittsburgh’s choice to be submitted before the 2024 TDL).


Trade #2:
To Buffalo: Hanifin
To Calgary: 2023 first round pick (13th overall) + 2023 2nd round pick (39th overall)


Trade #3:
To Carolina: Backlund (50% retained)
To Calgary: 2023 first round pick (30th overall) + 2023 second round pick (62nd overall)


Trade #4:
To New York: Toffoli (50% retained)
To Calgary: 2023 first round pick (23rd overall)


Trade #5:
To Detroit: 23rd overall + 39th overall + 48th overall
To Calgary: 17th overall


Result:

Flames could select 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th and 30th overall in the draft. Or they could use that draft capital to jump into the top 10.
